Flynn, Smarty and Hector are now 7!!!

26 04 2012

The Starlark babies are now 7!!! I had to do a double take and check the year of birth! Well, they still behave VERY much like babies.

Flynn has progressed to sleeping in my room cos he is very much a mummy’s boy. Smarty is too independent for that!

Sorry, no pics as I’ve been quite busy with work. No cake for them but they did have some treats!!!

However, here’s  a lovely pic sent by Jane of Hector having fun at the beach with Nida (Hector’s personal helper).

Happy New Year!!!

The “babies” are now 6!!!

Time flew passed and Flynn, Smarty and Hector are now 6!!! Who would have thought they are now “middle age”? ;-P

No matter what, they will always be babies. Happy 6th Birthday, babies!!!

Happy New Year!!!

3 01 2011

We at Starlark hope 2011 will be a peaceful and blessed year for everyone!

All the lakelands are retired and are currently lounging at home. At this time, we are uncertain when we will be in the terrier ring again but do pop in occasionally.

Flynn is officially retired

I finally use the scissors on Flynn and cut off his lovely harsh coat. It took me awhile to get this done but having not shown him at all this year, I thought he would be happier to spend more time playing and less time on the grooming table. And he is! He was prancing around and trying to play with Misty.

Will put up some pics of my little baby boy soon.

Blast from the Past: Sydney Royal 1999

26 07 2010

Debbie (Caspersz Lakeland and West Highland White Terriers) sent to me this picture of Roscoe where he won Best of Breed at the Sydney Royal 1999.

Looking at my youthful little Red man, I can’t help but feel a lump in my throat. Roscoe is now 12 years old and he is still as youthful and feisty. I can’t believe that time has passed by so quickly.

I still remember vividly Roscoe at his first show. He beat the very competitive smooth fox terrier who had won BIS at the previous show and  took the Group under the late Mr Harry Jordan (U.K.). To say that I was pleasantly surprised is indeed an understatement. I also remembered that on the day before the show, I took a break while grooming him and brought him into the washroom for his toilet break.  To cut the long story short, Roscoe managed to turn on the tap and got himself slightly wet.  When I went into the washroom to bring him back to the grooming table, he was sitting on top of the toilet bowl and wagging his tail at me! :-)
